Announcing the Goodstock participants!

Glenn

After many hours of deliberation we’ve finally made our selection of the charities who will be taking part in our first Goodstock.

We’ll be spending 24 hours working on lots of different projects for them all.

In Vancouver, we’ll be working with:

  • From Grief to Action is a volunteer-based group which supports friends and families of people suffering with addiction.
  • L’Arche is an inspirational charity which creates homes and programs for people with developmental disabilities.
  • Battered Women’s Support Services provide support for women who have experienced abuse, and educate about violence against women.
  • Small Animal Rescue Society is a grassroots group of volunteers who rescue and find homes for small animals in need

And in Toronto:

  • Golden Rescue: The Canadian Golden Retriever Adoption Service - a volunteer-based group dedicated to rescuing and re-homing displaced Golden Retrievers, as well as educating the public about pet ownership.
  • Eva’s Initiatives - works with homeless and at-risk youth ages 16 to 24 to get them off the streets permanently.
  • Annex Cat Rescue - a volunteer-based group whose goal is to eliminate cruelty to animals by providing for the fostering and adoption of cats that are homeless, abandoned, or where their owners can no longer care for them

It’s really great to be able to provide this work for free to organizations doing such good work.

Watch this blog for more information, and we’ll be blogging throughout the event as well. You can also follow our updates on Twitter.

I can’t wait to get started!
